NALA'S THURSDAY SHOWS

And honestly… we came for cats, we stayed for everything. A resource library, community shelves, a cat shop, the Copycat Café, a cooking school in a traditional Malay house, kids’ art play zone… oh, and 78 cats casually running the place. No big deal. This amazing space is ready to host events, workshops, even book festivals — all to support trap-neuter-release programs. And we’re so happy to share that our Maneki-neko T-shirt campaign raised 29,000 in one year (yes, cat power is real). We’re topping it up to 10,000 more to support animal welfare groups on the island. Also… a brand new cat design is coming soon. Because apparently one cat is never enough.
This week, we met Narelle, the heart behind Lassie in Langkawi
Today, I’m plating, styling, and shooting Grab favourites—turning nasi lemak and pizzas into stars. From props to daylight, every detail matters. Add a hand, a glass, a little mood… and suddenly, it’s a whole story on a plate.
Back at the Polo Club where food meets storytelling.
From chasing waterfalls at Durian Perangin Waterfall (and spotting durian flowers), to cruising past lush greens. We slowed it all down at the dreamy Tanjung Rhu Beach, where time basically said “I’m off today”. And of course, we wrapped it up the best way possible — seafood feast at Pantai Cenang. No ripe durians were harmed (or found) in the making of this trip… but honestly? The views, the vibes, and the food totally made up for it.
Two wheels, zero plans, and a whole lot of island magic
From chasing lemang and serunding at TTDI Ramadan Bazaar to tasting all the classics — pecel sayur, otak-otak, nasi kerabu… we didn’t come to play. Buka puasa is all about gathering, sharing, and breaking fast with the people who matter most. Selamat Hari Raya to everyone!
Rain or shine, Nala is on a mission
For this drop, we took Nala to the streets and let the people decide. From the iconic Bunga Raya to our nostalgic minibus and everyone’s favourite traditional kueh illustrations, we asked strangers to pick their favourite, put it on, and tell us what they think. Silkscreen. Heat transfer. All locally made. All penuh cerita. Wee didn’t just launch T-shirts. We shared a little piece of Malaysia, one design at a time.

Proudly made in Malaysia, our latest Raya collection is a love letter to home. From twirl-worthy balloon skirts to Baju Kedah inspired by local blooms like ixora and iris, dreamy kebayas, classic sarongs, and men’s shirts finished with charming coconut buttons. Every piece tells a story. Our family batik motifs weave together Malaysian roots with Dutch and Japanese touches (because heritage is always more beautiful when it’s shared). And yes, even our Raya flower has its own little tale.
Raya, but make it Nala
We had the loveliest visit to the country’s only fully organic, hand-made tofu factory, Ooedo Tofu, run by the amazing Mariko-san. We watched the traditional stone-grinding process, learned how the soybeans are soaked overnight, and followed the beautiful journey from humble beans to fresh, silky soy milk. Pure craft, pure heart. And guess what? Mariko-san will be one of the lovely vendors at LS Do Market happening this Saturday, 28 February from 10am! We’re also beyond excited to launch our new Raya collection — a limited edition, 100% batik production, exclusively sold at Kasturi. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
