We’ve officially closed our Tanglin Mall shop, and for the next five months I’ll be based in Singapore. Rather than opening another shop immediately, we’re going back to basics with Pasar Pagi, our new series of market pop ups.

I’ve always loved markets. Wherever I travel, one of the first places I visit is the local wet market. It’s where you discover colours, textures, food, conversations, and the real character of a city. They never fail to inspire me.

Of course, our Pasar Pagi is a little different, but the spirit is the same. It’s about meeting people, hearing what they think, testing new ideas, and having fun again. After all, that’s exactly how Nala started in Malaysia, and it feels like the right way to begin again in Singapore.

Don’t worry, we’re not leaving Singapore’s shopping centres. You’ll still find us at Great World and TANGS, where we’ll continue launching our newest collections. Our Pasar Pagi booths will focus on smaller pieces, special finds, sale items, and lower priced treasures. That way, each location has its own personality.

Sometimes the best ideas don’t come from sitting behind a desk. They come from standing behind a market stall.
