A single colour, a thousand petals
This is a collection I created especially for Singapore, launched at Tanglin (Tangs end December) and it marks a moment where Singapore and KL truly feel like one Nala universe.

I am commuting between both cities now, and the Singapore team has become part of our family. To celebrate that, I designed a set of orchid prints for Christmas and Chinese New Year. It is a small tribute to a place that has welcomed us so generously.
The Lan Hua collection is built entirely from orchids, drawn in one colour, with three patterns. Lan Hua Red with Love, Lan Hua Laced with Love, and Lan Hua Singapore Soul. Each carries its own character, but together they form something calm, modern, and
quietly joyful.
The inspiration came from the orchid show at the botanical gardens. Orchids are often seen as a cliché, but when you take them apart and study the petals and curves, they reveal so much beauty. When you rebuild them in a new way, the flower feels fresh again. I added a touch of blue to lift the red, and the result is a happy print that sits naturally in any wardrobe or home.
Singapore is the largest exporter of orchids, yet the flower is becoming less present in daily life. It is too beautiful to disappear. We live in the tropics. We should have orchids in our homes all the time. The Lan Hua prints are a reminder of that. Contemporary, classic, and filled with quiet grace. A small love letter to one of the most elegant flowers in our region.
